The O365 Integration Widget allows SharePoint and OneDrive access directly in Connections.
The Widget Editor lets users customize which files and folders to display. The access rights are transferred from the users SharePoint-Account into Connections and only the files that the end user is authorized to view are displayed in the widget as a list.
Files are then opened directly in Office 365 and can also be edited by the user, if the corresponding authorizations are available. In addition, the original author of the file is displayed. A download button can be used to download individual files or entire folders as a zip archive.
In the backend, a Node.js server handels the user authentication for Sharepoint. This process is based on OAuth2 and allows user-specific content to be shown or hidden.
With our Integration Center we have built the basis for the fast, easy and seamless integration of other applications and platforms into the Connections Engagement Center.
The Integration Center consists of a NodeJS server which runs on a Docker Container on premises, in private or public cloud. The NodeJS Server is used as a stable middleware to manage all the different authentications via OAuth. With the Integration Center ICEC is the perfect platform to integrate most diverse systems.
While we have completed a POT and a first SharePoint integration widget we are by no means feature complete. Please contact us with your SharePoint integration requirements to influence what features we develop first!
